Meet Our Team

Hello, we’re Mike & Sandra Baker and we’re your design consultants for the Ancaster, Hamilton & Niagara Escarpment area. We started our careers in the Corporate world and made the leap to entrepreneurship to enjoy running our own business and to help people make their homes more beautiful and functional.

Sandra’s background is in customer service, marketing, communication design and Mike’s background is in project management, commercial interior design and installation. So together we have the experience and knowledge to help you save time and money finding the perfect window treatments for your home or commercial space. And yes, we are a married couple running a small business together and it’s a great experience! We have two teens and are looking to add a dog into the mix sometime soon. We enjoy hiking and biking through the Bruce Trail and keeping healthy with Crossfit and running.

When we come to your home or office for a free consultation, we listen to your needs and style preferences, assess your window structures and discuss your budget. We consider your needs for child safety, pet safety, light control, convenience and energy savings.

From there, we make recommendations that narrow down the overwhelming choices available in blinds, roller shades, shutters and draperies to what works best for your tastes, your space and your budget. Because we represent many manufacturers, like Hunter Douglas and Graber as well as Canadian based fabricators like Eclipse Shutters, Maxxmar, Sun Glow & Sol-R, we can find window covering solutions for any space. And when it comes to custom draperies, rods, valances, upholstery, custom bedding and pillows, we’ll help you find the fabrics and style you’ll love from designer brands like JF Fabrics, Kravet, Equus and Duralee.

As small business owners, we are committed to ensuring our customers are fully satisfied and we work with you from consultation through to installation stages. And we believe it’s important to give back to the community. We support National charities such as Ovarian Cancer Canada and True Patriot Love for Canadian Veterans. And you can find us around the Ancaster and Hamilton communities helping out with food drives, fund raising and outreach. We are also members of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce which supports local businesses and helps the community prosper.
