This October, we have partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to raise awareness and support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or BCRF, was founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993. Their goal is to help fund the research that could one day find a cure for breast cancer as well as discover better methods of prevention.
With the support of BCRF, amazing advancements have been made in addressing all areas of breast cancer, from prevention to treatment and recovery.

Since its founding in 1993, BCRF has raised over a billion dollars. In 2023-2024, $60.2 million will be awarded to top researchers in universities and medical institutes worldwide.
Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the world today. It is the leading cause of cancer death in less developed countries, and it is the second leading cause of cancer death in females in the United States.
Globally, breast cancer represents one in four cancers in women. Worldwide breast cancer incidences have increased by more than 20% since 2008, and mortality rates have risen by 14%. In 2023 alone, an estimated 297,790 women and 2,800 men in the United States will have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The survival rate for breast cancer has continued to increase thanks to rising awareness and funding for groundbreaking research and treatment options.

Breast cancer is a complex and ever-evolving disease. Advancements in research allow scientists to focus on areas of heredity, tumor biology, genetics, and more in order to find new ways of prevention.
