"Delighted with our new Gotcha Covered shades!!"
My husband and I had a great experience working with Gotcha Covered of Saratoga, and we're delighted with our new Hunter-Douglas insulated shades (Duette Architella skylift, motorized). Michelle was wonderful to work with. She came to our house several times to help us choose style, material, and color, she tracked down the particular shades that would fit the over-sized windows in our sunroom (which was tricky!), and she was patient and helpful as we selected fabric and materials.
Michelle and her colleague did a wonderful job on installation, too. They took the time to get everything to fit exactly right; it turns out the windows aren't quite square, but they were careful to accommodate irregularities and inconsistencies.
Installing top-quality insulated shades on three windows and two skylights was expensive, but there's no question that it was a great investment. Before -- with great big east-facing windows and a slate floor -- the sunroom got so hot in summer (and so cold in winter) that we literally couldn't use the space. With the new shades, it's suddenly comfortable in there even with these hot July temperatures. The shades completely transformed the room and turned it into a more elegantly finished and more usable part of the house. We are happy as can be, and now look forward to updating the furniture, etc.
While she was in our home, we also asked Michelle if she had any thoughts about our living room layout. She offered an excellent design suggestion, which we've now implemented. We have a conversation area that's better focused on enjoying the view and the hearth.
