Roman Shades in Dunwoody
See Custom Roman Shade Fabrics in Your Home
Roman Shades combine the warmth and texture of fabric with the controlled operation of a shade. At Gotcha Covered of Brookhaven Dunwoody, we guide Dunwoody homeowners through fabrics, linings, styles, and lift systems that complement each room and provide the desired balance of privacy and natural light.
Our locally owned and operated location offers a complimentary in-home Custom Window Treatment consultation, so you can compare fabric samples in the rooms where the shades will be installed. We hold a 5.0 Google rating from homeowners across the area, reflecting the trust customers place in our personal approach.
Schedule your complimentary in-home consultation by calling (470) 468-2394. We’ll help you explore custom Roman Shades for your windows, daily routine, and design preferences.
Compare Shades, Blinds, Shutters & Soft Treatments
Our selection extends beyond Roman Shades. During your consultation, we can help you compare their fabric construction with other shades, blinds, shutters, and soft treatments for your home.
Available options include:
- Blinds
- Shutters
- Banded shades
- Honeycomb shades
- Cellular shades
- Patterned shades
- Pleated shades
- Sunscreens
- Roller shades
- Roman Shades
- Wood shades
- Curtains or drapes
- Motorized window treatments controlled by smart home devices
This range allows us to discuss each window in the context of the entire room. Roman Shades may serve as the primary fabric window treatments or be layered with curtains or drapes, adding a second fabric element while preserving the shades’ light-control role.
Roman Shade Fabrics, Styles & Decorative Details
Roman Shades are soft treatments made from fabric, but they raise and lower as shades rather than hanging as stationary curtain panels. Unlike blinds, which use individual slats, Roman Shades form a continuous fabric covering across the window.
The fabric can be shaped into several distinct profiles. We offer classic, flat, relaxed, and tailored styles, giving homeowners options for rooms that call for crisp lines, softer folds, or a more traditional fabric presentation.
Our fabric options come from nationally recognized vendors, including Hunter Douglas, Graber/Springs Window Fashions, and Lafayette. A design consultant brings samples to your home, where you can view colors, textures, and patterns alongside your furnishings and in the room’s actual lighting.
Decorative tape options are available for an added border or accent detail. Complimentary valances are also available, providing another way to coordinate the upper portion of the treatment with the selected shade fabric and room design.
Privacy, Light Control & Lift Options
Roman shade fabrics are available in sheer, light-filtering, and room-darkening opacities. Sheer fabrics admit more daylight, light-filtering fabrics soften incoming light, and room-darkening fabrics reduce the amount of exterior light entering the room. We’ll guide you through these choices based on how you use each space.
Room-by-room considerations commonly include:
- Bedrooms: Select an opacity based on the desired privacy and darkness.
- Kitchens: Consider the room’s daylight needs, privacy requirements, and overall design.
- Living Areas: Coordinate the fabric, fold style, and lining with the furnishings and everyday light preferences.
Cordless Roman Shades are available for child-safe operation without a standard lift cord. For tall or large windows, motorized roman shades can make routine opening and closing easier. Motorized options can also integrate with smart home devices for convenient control.
Our Roman Shade Consultation & Installation Process
Custom Roman Shades begin with an in-home visit from one of our design consultants. Instead of choosing from a small image or isolated swatch, you can review fabric samples beside your walls, flooring, furniture, and other finishes.
Our process includes:
- In-Home Design Guidance: We discuss your goals for privacy, daylight, shade operation, and room design.
- Fabric & Lining Selection: Your consultant guides you through available fabrics, linings, opacities, and decorative choices.
- Lift Selection: We review standard, cordless, and motorized choices based on the available options for your treatment.
- Precise Measurements: We measure each window because accurate dimensions determine how a custom treatment fits and operates.
- Mounting Review: We discuss inside-mount installation, which places the treatment within the window opening, and outside-mount installation, which positions it beyond the opening. The choice depends on the window and desired finished appearance.
- Professional Installation: We handle installation after the custom treatments are ready.
Warranty support is available after installation.
