Hello!

My name is Abel R. Gomez, owner of Gotcha Covered of Carrollton. I have been a proud resident of the North Dallas area and have enjoyed growing my family right here within these amazing communities since 1991. I got married in 1995 to a beautiful lady and we have one son, Steven.

I was born in Harlingen, Texas. My first college degree was from Texas Southmost College in Brownsville, Texas with an Electronics Degree. I moved to the Dallas area in 1991. In 1997 I became a Real Estate Agent and in 1999 I became a Real Estate Broker in Texas. After 9-11, my Real Estate career slowed down so I switched gears and began my career in property management in 2003. Even though I continued to practice Real Estate sales part time, during this time, my expertise had always been Industrial Electronics, Electronics technical training, and troubleshooting; I added Plumbing, HVAC, Electricity, and general construction knowledge during my career in property management.

I needed more excitement in my life so I back to school and started college again in 2017. This time I finished a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science with concentrations on Employee Safety and Health, Business Management and Emergency Management. I loved Emergency Management so much that I decided to pursue a Master’s Degree. In December 2021 I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management and Disaster Science. I have to emphasize that customer service has been an integral part of my career and business ownership has always been a goal of mine. When the opportunity arose to start my own Gotcha Covered franchise in 2021 right here in the North Dallas area, I was more than ready!

Meeting new people and helping them find the perfect window treatment solution for their home, business, or commercial space is a passion of mine. I am always incredibly excited to introduce my customers to all the exciting advancements in motorized and connected home window treatment options. The most exciting part of my business is to see a satisfied customer after the product installation, and their assurance that any referrals will be taken care of with utmost respect and personal commitment.
