Meet Our Team

Gilberto Sanchez is our resident Drapery Expert and Showroom Manager. Joining the team full time in 2012, Gilberto has been a part of the Gotcha Covered team since the beginning. His strong fashion sense and eye for detail makes his ability with custom drapery second to none. Coming from a background in high end fashion sales, he has an innate ability to add and create luxury in the home. His interest in design and fashion keep him on the forefront of the latest trends, while his personal style is classic and timeless. Gilberto is also an avid fan of interior design and works with clients not only on drapery, but on color consultations and space planning as well.

After years in building management, Brian joined the Gotcha Covered team in August of 2011. His understanding of Chicago buildings and windows made his transition into custom window treatments a natural fit. With a clean and simple aesthetic, Brian really strives to make the window treatments blend seamlessly into any room. A vast wealth of knowledge, Brian excels in working with projects that require an additional level of detail. His skills have pulled him to the head of the business, taking over as General Manager in 2013, a role he still holds today. A forward-thinking person, Brian is always looking to stay on the forefront of the industry to make sure that Gotcha Covered has the latest offerings for our clients.

Jay has been with the Gotcha Covered team since October of 2015 and has quickly become an asset to the company. Coming from a background in interior finishes, he has a great perspective on color and style in the home. His friendly and knowledgeable disposition makes him a trusted and valued resource that clients just love to work with. Jay is very well versed in motorization and home automation systems and how your shades can be tied into your smart home. His relaxed style is a blend of contemporary and transitional elements, which allows his creative vision to translate into any room or décor.

Tiegann has been with Gotcha Covered since November, 2014. A transplant from WI, Tiegann moved to Chicago to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture at Columbia College. Graduating in 2017, Tiegann brings her unique aesthetic and strong organizational skills to the Gotcha Covered team as a Commercial Design Consultant and Operations Manager. Having over 8 years of window treatment experience, Tiegann is a wealth of knowledge and excels at helping educate clients on what their window treatment options are. Bringing her design education into the office, she is our lead on commercial window treatments where her knowledge of code, building and construction and design help to instill confidence in builders and developers in contracting with Gotcha Covered.

John joined the Gotcha Covered team in 2019. He's a graduate with a BFA from Pratt Institute in New York City and has been living in Chicago for 12 years. John has spent the majority of his career in the Gift & Home Decor and Specialty Wholesale Industry. He's got a way of making his clients feel very much at ease and helps them realize the design potential for heir home or business. He's always going the extra mile to make sure everything is covered correctly, from the first consultation to follow-ups after installation. John also brings a bit of global influence into his design sensibility; in his spare time, he leads culinary and art tours throughout Italy.

The newest member of the Gotcha Covered team, Steve Sockwell comes to us from a general laborer and residential construction background. His expertise in assembly, installation and building construction have made him a great asset to our service and installation side. Steve has quickly learned about not only the products and styles, but he has built a knowledge base about the inner workings of the different blinds and shades that we offer. With an inquisitive mind, Steve has taught himself a great deal about motorization and home automation that allows him to comfortably incorporate the latest technology into his work. His detail and expertise has made Steve a valuable addition to the Gotcha Covered service and installation team.
