Meet Our Team

Hello! I am Ken Mills, owner of Gotcha Covered of North Charlotte. I'm a native Bostonian with a B.A. in Visual & Environmental Studies. I originally dreamed of becoming an architect, but my career path led me into consumer brand advertising and marketing which is what brought me to North Carolina over a decade ago.

After 25 years of my corporate career, I found myself facing a career change. The time had come to decide what I wanted my next chapter to look like and I found Gotcha Covered. Gotcha Covered gives me the opportunity to pursue my own creative side and interact with people throughout this amazing community. I love business ownership and the freedom and flexibility it affords me.

My wife and I are enjoying our lives as empty-nesters with two adult children and our small grandchild. We love that our community is still in its early stages of development and is appealing to a great mix of families and professionals who take great pride in maintaining beautiful homes. From Easter Egg hunts to fall hay rides and holiday horse-drawn sleigh rides, our charming, tight-knit community has it all!

We also love the vibrant diversity that comes from our close proximity to downtown Charlotte and the UNCC area. From here, we can also enjoy day trips into the city or up to the mountains, or spend weekends at the beach. And I am literally in the backyard of NASCAR country with Concord Motor Speedway being just a stone’s throw away.

In my spare time, I enjoy golfing and deep-sea fishing. I also spend as much time as I can on my backyard grills. Growing up in Boston, I'm also an avid sports fan, rooting for all the Boston sports teams and a few college and pro teams in North Carolina and Florida.
